I'm currently 21 years old (not for much longer, though, boo) and am slightly mad. But then, who isn't these days?! I love reading and writing and think that at some point I'd like to be an author. If I ever finish a novel, anyway! At the moment I've got about a year left of my degree, a MPhys in Physics with Nuclear Astrophysics. Currently, I'm working in Vancouver, BC, at TRIUMF, a nuclear laboaratory, although I call home Bournemouth, in England. I'm doing my degree at the University of Surrey and have no idea what I'm going to do with it! I'm getting a bit worried about that :S

I love any music or film or anything that will make me feel good (so I adore Disney, lol!). I also really like sci-fi (Star Wars, Galaxy Quest... hello - degree in astrophysics?), especially when it comes to shows, like Stargate, Battlestar Galactica, Firefly, Dr Who and Dead like Me (although not sure if that's technically sci-fi. Fantasy in any case). I'm such a weeper recently as well, it's weird. A vaguely happy ending and I'm crying! In addition to sci fi, I love chick flicks/romance films(Pride and Prejudice, any kind of Cinderella-y thing) as well as some good old gun shooting (Die Hard, any one? I think Aliens belongs here, too). Like comic book films, too. I suppose it's easier to say what I DON'T like - any films with lots of guns and pointless violence that isn't funny. And by funny I don't mean stupid American-style slapstick, which I also hate (There's Something Like Mary... cannot STAND that film). I'm a dry, sarcastic humour loving sort of person (hey - I'm English!). I also love the Narnia films exceedingly. Harry Potter goes without saying - see below!

I love reading. My favourite author has to be Diana Wynne Jones. There is nothing that woman can do wrong. Every one of her books are a delight. I also really love Tamora Pierce, the HP series (I'm a total HP nut), The Black Magician Trilogy (Trudi Canavan), Obernewtyn series (Isobelle Carmody) and The Goose Girl, by Shannon Hale. I really love that book.

Music wise... well, I'll listen to most anything, really. But I'm a really happy sort of person, so my favourite songs are happy - more Disney! Yay! I also listen to a lot of classical music from film OST's. The music for the first Narnia film is amazing. So is the music for Finding Neverland and Pride and Prejudice (film). I also really like Amici Forever, an opera band (and, now I come to think of it, the only band/artist I have ever seen live in concert. Although this was a concert filled with mainly older people and no beer or mud - just wine in the BIC concert hall!)

Me, me, me.... well, I reiterate the fact I'm a bit unhinged. I tend to get obsessed over things. I also get bored easily after I've obsessed for a while and move on to something new. Sometimes I circulate. I'm generally a very happy person, but I'm also stupidly shy sometimes. I find it hard to talk to people I don't feel like I've not got a lot in common with and sometimes I can't really say anything at all, because I feel so stupid. But I'm getting better at initiating conversation with random people! But since moving to Canada I don't feel like I've got many friends. I just don't do the activities I do at Uni (because all they seem to do here is climb in summer nad ski in winter and I don't do either!) and I don't really feel I can relate to people at work. They seem to care so much about Physics and their work... I'm not quite there yet!

Ok... I also like to waffle when I'm typing and go off on extreme tangents. I blame having such fast touch typing. I wouldn't write half so much if I typed much slower. Would take too long. This takes very little time, really.

And d'oh! I've rambled again! I'll stop now =S
